Help w/Engine Assembly - Crankshaft

Hi All - I am assembling a 2.0l and have a question about assembly lubing the main bearings/journals. Wilson's book says that #2 shell bearing goes in dry on the back, but then I think he says to use assembly lube on #1,3 and 4 both the crankcase journals, and the outside and inside of the bearings - am I reading this right?

#4 bearing seems to have alot of play axially and longitudinally - although it appears that the bearing hole is lined up over the dowel - is this right? It also is not quite seated all the way but has a small gap - do I have the crankshaft in right and all the bearings seated in the dowels?

Also, the timing marks pointing down to the case parting really had me confused last night, but today I saw on Pelican tech forum that this is a typo in Wilson's book for the Type IV - thank goodness, as I was getting worried.

Thanks in advance!
