Flywheel seals
I am about to install my flywheel after a rebuild and was told to be sure that I have the seal behind the pilot bearing. I have no idea what this person was talking about but do consider him a reliable source.
I have the metallic colored O-Ring (possibly graphite impregnated?) which goes on the bore of the flywheel and around the crank. Is there anything else involved? I don’t see why there would be and I don’t see where it would fit, but I have to ask. Thanks |

Yeah I've just replaced my flywheel oil seal and noticed in the manual there's supposed to be a felt washer where you mentioned.......i didn't fit it cos i was in a hurry and none of my normal suppliers stocked it....doesn't seem to be leaking
