Hello again all!
 

Hi all, some of you may remember me, some may not. Anyway, I got the 914 out, dusted her off, and took a good look over.

Sheesh I have a lot of work left to do.

The question, anyone here have any idea how to get additional air into the rear compartment of a 914 to cool a radiator with? I refuse to run lines up to the front.

How are you... Where have you been...?

Need more Air... Where is the radiator monted ? I have seen some cars suck Air
through the Lower rocker panels just behind the doors. It almost looks like a soup can
coming through the rocker cut on an Angle to scoop the Air... Attach some Flex hose to the back and route the air to where you need it. I think you will need alot more air than tis can provide to cool a radiator..

The radiator isn't mounted yet. I was thinking about cutting the quarter panels and adding scoops that face the road. Then routing the air through that.

You could put any type of cooler in the wedge shaped area in front of the rear wheels. You would need to cut scoops openings then stretch the metal out some ( 1 inch or less) and roll the edges to act as the scoop. I would also use some heavy screen to shield the coolers from the debris thrown forward by the rear wheels as I have to clean out at least a pound of rubber after a race weekend from the forward corner.
