Air Velocity Kit
I've been noticing this "Air Velocity" kit from 9XAuto on ebay and it looks very interesting. The kit replaces the OEM air filter and housing and claims some performance gains. The kit has a conical K & N air filter and seems to be nicely constructed. Any body have any experience with this product?
Thanks, Tom |

I have had some experiance with this product on Carbed engines. What I found is that it flows so much better that on carbed engines that You have to rejet. I have never tried it on a FI engine. But if the results are the same then it will add power. Even the best aircleaner housings out there have had very little flow work done on them if any. And that is basicaly what they did with this. It was designed on a flow bench to get max airflow though it. Add that to a K&N filter and You should get a big increase in flow. The inside of this looks a little like a velocity stack. I do know that it works on a Bike so it should work on a car too.

for that kit, you are paying 135 bucks for a 20 dollar filter plus a few brackets..........
I made one myself, the filter cost 11 bucks at Kragens, I was too cheap to put a K&N on it, but if I find one on sale I might splurge.. i never did any tests, but i do not belive thier claim of up to 8hp... contact them direct on thier website, the aircleaner can be bought without going thur ebay, see if you can return it if not satisfied.........
