Changing Brake Pads

Last summer I had my brakes fail during a cool down at a DE. I had them rebuilt -as well as a new master cylinder, and brake lines- and installed new Porterfield's for the next event. Because of a transmission bushing issue, it only made one day there too.

It will be 4-6 months before I run again so I want to switch back to street pads. I will be putting new pads into the car.

My question is how important will it be to do the venting adjustment again since the pads coming out have minimal wear and the new ones going in are pretty much the same thickness? Can I replace and go, or is the adjustment really necessary?

Thanks!

Critical.

we are talking the thickness of a piece of paper. And it's not like it is really hard.
