I haven't had the Kumhos for too long but I've been running them at 40psi HOT which is what was recommended to me by several racers...seems to work so far.

I have 205s on our stock class car and run 26 pounds front and rear. A temp check with the pyrometer at the last auto-x showed temps within 1 degree all the way across. Try to get temp readings at the next track session as looking or feeling won't work. Good luck.

John - you're running 26 hot at the track? Or is that your cold starting point?
I've been running 30-32 cold (i.e. street) and 38-40 hot at the track. I figured lower pressures would lead to undesired sidewall flex/rollover. I haven't taken pyrometer readings yet...gotta do that someday. Chris |

I too am interested in the tire pressure recommendations.
I have the Komo 700 on my car for DEs, but I have not had the chance to put them on the track. I will vary the pressure some and see what happens. I hope to be @ VIR in Sept (waiting list) and at CMP [Kershaw] in October ![]() |

I run 27# front 26# rear cold which ends up being 31 -30 hot. With the stiff sidewalls you can run lower pressures. Also with 7" wide rims and 205 tires prevent the tire from rolling over. I loose grip with anymore pressure and it is very noticeable.

That pressure is hot. I have 6 inch wide rims and get a little roll over but not bad. I was more concerned with the grip across the face of the tire which looks pretty even. A pyrometer is a rgreat thing to have as it can be used for many other things like reading head temps, transmission temps, brake rotor temps, etc. Good luck

Thanks guys...next time out I'll buy/borrow a pyrometer and try some lower pressures. Unfortunately I'm currently running 205's on 5.5" wheels, which I'm not a big fan of doing but I'm class-limited to 6" anyway. If a pile of money falls on my head I'll pick up a set of Panasport Racing 15x6's, or maybe do a 5-lug conversion and go to 911 Fuchs.
