Several people have tried to get/use the Gear Calculator I have in the TECH ARTICLES area and have had problems. Here are some hints:
1. You have to have Win95/98 or NT 4.0
2. When you click on the link, select "save to disk", DO NOT try to open it there.
3. You will have to have a copy of WinZip, which is available on the net for evaluation, purchase/free. Installing WinZip will automatically associate it with all Zip files
4. After the download is complete, start Explorer and double-click on GEARS.ZIP and WinZip will start and open it.
5. Select all the files and Extract to a Temp sub-dir.
6. Read the Readme.txt file.
7. Double-click on Setup.exe to install the program.
8. Double-click on the Tach icon to start the program.
