Post How to remove light paint overspray from interior

Anyone have a good method of deep cleaning the interior to remove some light paint overspray? (overspray being the whole interior).

Thanks,
Shane

Don't laugh, I don't sell Avon, but I do use my wife's Skin So Soft on these types of problems. I think it is basically mineral oil that doesn't harm the vinyl but can remove some petroleum distillates.

I've used GOJO hand cleaner, or hand cleaners designed specifically to remove auto paint. It's real gentle...
but if you have, say a real heavy coat of auto paint on a spot, you might need to use paint thinner real carefully on that spot. Go easy, though! Remember, anything that dissolves auto paint will probably also dissolve vinyl!

I've had good luck with "Greased Lightning" cleaner/degreaser and a scrub brush. Try on an inconspicous spot first. Best to wear gloves, as this stuff is very akaline and will make the skin on your fingers flake/peel a few days later (from experience). For really stubborn spots, lacquer thinner used sparingly works, but be REALLY careful with that stuff (fumes, skin burns, melt vinyl, etc).
