Roll bar sheetmetal
The passanger rollbar (sail panel??) is rusted at the base (just above the door handle indentation). Does anyone have a scrap car with this part in good condition? GREAT! sell it to me!
If there is another fix I would love to hear of it. What Guage is the sheetmetal on a 914? Thanks |

Mine were both shot. I don't know about your budget, but brand new aftermarket parts are available, possibly from PP but certainly from Restoration Design.
www.restoration-design.com There are two types, one that ends just below the sail panel/fender junction, and one that extends further down to include the recess for the door handle. I chose to buy the latter to ensure that the exorcism was complete. There's a pic if you follow the link after my signature. Have a good look at the condition of your door pillar too - it may be cost-effective to replace rather than repair that at the same time.
