I've been so busy traveling this summer for my job I blew past my 20th Anniversary. In a last minute attempt to save the day I asked the wife if she wanted to go to the Monterey Historics. She agreed and even helped plan the last minute trip. We say Jay Leno on Saturday by the Bentely display. I would have liked to meet some of you lucky Gold Coasters while I was out there but ONE THINGS FOR SHURE there will be a next time. My wife and I had a great time and she up for another trip!

Next time I'll plan ahead a little and maybe even drive the 918-S out there!

In closing I must say, There were more Ferrari's in Monterey and at the Laguna Seca raceway than in all of Italy! I have never
seen an probably will never see a more vulgar display of wealth in my life again. I loved it! and I'll never be the same........I
can't decide if I'm not normal or if what I saw is not normal.......

I am a new 914 owner. Actually, on my second 914 in just three months. Anyway, if you liked the historics at Laguna Seca, try the Sports Cars in September. Not as "high-brow" but still very cool cars and racing. I love that for only a few bucks, you can wander the paddock at Laguna Seca. Of course, the ultimate is the CART series in October.
Next year, go to the "pre-historics" if you get a chance. The weekend before the Historics, most of the same cars are there, and a lot less people. A $25 annual membership to the HMSA gets you in.
