Electric Car

I have a 1974 914-4 1.8. Have been reading about the "TESLA ROADSTER". Being a retired engineer I was thinking about what it would take to convert the 914 to a TESLA type roadster.

Google should turn up quite a few electric 914 web pages. One of them Otmar's) is a 1/4 mile record-holder, or at least was for a good while.

Otmar's car:

Others:

A lengthy discussion on a conversion in progress (slow progress, but still!):

...And there are many more. The 914 makes a good EV, as there is a whole lot of room for batteries!

A couple more interesting links, just for background:

I'd got plug in hybrid if I was doing it. Perhaps even 4wd (electric drive one end, internal combustion on the other)...
