Does anyone know whether Sparco Ultra seats will fit using the standard seat runners and with the back padding in place?

A quick test is to measure the outside width of the seat near the front and see what it is. You can get approximately 20 inches of width in there with the shifter on the right and the e-brake on the left. That has been the limiting factor as I was changing seats. The tubular (Corbeau), composit (Sparco, Momo) have about 2 inches on both sides of padding and rolled edges so you are left with an inside maximum of about 15 inches. That is why I went with the aluminum seat as it only has 1/2 inch of width added to the inside measurement and you can reshape them if needed! Good luck.

I don't know about the Sparco Ultra, but I made the Sparco sprints fit. I used the stock rails, some modifications required, but I had to have a special back pad made. I had the back pad recovered with all of the factory foam removed. The upholsterer recovered with 1/4" foam. It looks good, and I can get my seat all the way back, well untill the headrest hits my harness bar.

Thanks guys. The Sparco Ultra is about 20 mm wider at the base than the Sprint, but otherwise smaller. I have stripped all the padding off the backpad and re-covered it. Do you think there will be any problem with the extra width at the base BeeJay?
