Headlight wiring issue!

Hi!
My 914 1970 (originally 1,7 now 914-6) do raise the headlights at the first step of the light switch, and at full engagement it set on the light. This is how it always have been as long as I have had the car.
Now I wanna restore it to the way it should be (Parkinglight on first step and headlamp raise and light at full engagement) and put on some driving light so I can have light on the car without raising the headlight.

I have checked the wiring diagram but what I can find (for 914-4) is only the 1971 wiring and it seems not to be exactly the same for my car.

Relay number 3 (from left on the fuse board) is missing (and there are wires going from that.) Further away on that wires there seems to be some cut in,(modification of an pre-owner that didn't want to by a new relay?)
What function has this relay? Has it something to do with headlamps raising?
Because in the wiring diagram there seems to be a signal from point 56 on the light switch that goes to point 56 on "combination relay"

If this isn't the case, someone know what can be wrongly connected?

I have checked the light switch connections and nothing seems to be changed there. And the light switch works, except for it only raises the headlamps to early...

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

/Chriss

Gott im himmel!

Ok. Now I can answer my own question...

This is really funny. Just found on an excellent site: http://members.rennlist.com/pbanders/new_lighting_functions.htm
that the early 914īs should functions just like mine, with the pop up lights coming up at the first step of the light switch. Not as the later ones that first put on the parking light and then with switch fully engaged, raise the lights!

Well, now I donīt have to search more for the "problem" of my wiring, at least not by this reason.

BTW the PO had shortened two wires instead of replacing a round power relay... That was why I had one relay missing, something I'm gonna fix now.
