914 tranny woes
73 914 2.0 liter basically stock. With no previous warnings while making a left turn under acceleration; there was a pop sound and then no more power to the wheels in any gear. engine revs fine, clutch action good. Shifter will shift into any gear but will not deliver power to the wheels. What is the guess as to what happened?

My guess would be that the inner cage of the cv joint let go. I've had it happen to me before.

Chris-
You were right. What happened was the bolts backed out on the left side and axel came loose. Couldnt see it in the dark. The CV joint is still good but did shear one bolt. Thanks-
