Exclamation Light problems

Well My guess is something is crossed or not plugged in. Im just hopeing someone else has dealt with this particualr sinario. When i have the key on and the car not running my idiot lights dont light right. The great big break light flashes, the oil light turns on, but the generator light does not ever turn on. I have had my chargeing system checked out and the charging system is great. the car has allways been this way. it is also my past experince that if the generatior light dont ever turn on then it will not charge the battery. I have tested for shorts with the car off and there are none. where should i start looking?

If I remember right, the alternator bulb is the same size as the oil light. Since you said the alternator light works, pull the guage out and try swaping the two. Then you'll know if it's the bulb. Won't cost a dime.
