Just getting to know my "new' project.
But I'm stumped. How do you reset the tripmeter on the speedometer ? I see no knob or pin to reset. ------------------ Cary Kutter 77 Euro Carrera w/3.2 74 914 2.0 ( base model ) PCA Region - Big Sky |

I had to look in the book for that one too. Directly under the speedo, under the dash is a little knob. Spin it around to reset the trip odometer.

And the rumour goes that you should never re-set the thing while you are moving. It is said that you can strip the inner workings that way, killing the odo and requiring that the speedo be pulled apart and refurbished. I haven't had the experience, but am duly cautious nonetheless.

Thanks, I found it. Just didn't look hard enough.
I'll take your advice on the re-setting. Makes since, if you were going backwards at the same time it wanted to go forward. Might not like it. ------------------ Cary Kutter 77 Euro Carrera w/3.2 74 914 2.0 ( base model ) PCA Region - Big Sky [This message has been edited by cary (edited 09-03-2001).] |
