Post ANYBODY GOT A PHOTO OF A HYDRAULIC LIFTER?

I've been asked if my car has hydraulic lifters a couple of times when describing
some weird valvetrain problems I've had with my 2.0 and I've got to admit, I might not be sure! What does a hydraulic lifter look like? DO they just drop right in? This would be a helpful post for people who get teeners from
PO's who did'nt know about this mod. Maybe even a side-by-side comparison in a flatbed
scanner would work here. Thanks
Oh, BTW, I remember seeing pinholes in the center of the lifters in the cupped area where the PR ends go in. Do solid lifters have these? Is there a good in-the-car-test for hydraulic lifters? I can't seem to find photos of hydraulics ( I'm going to look at PP's catalog right now in hopes that
theres a photo of a conventional lifter right now. I've had the valves set at 006 and 008, assuming solid lifters, but I've got inexplicably low compression, backfiring and 2 dead cylinders and a chirping sound through the carbs. My PO didn't even know the cars came with FI.
P.S.: I found a photo of a set of hydraulics on ebay, they look like mine but I don't remember seeing those wire clips in the cupped end. Do all hydraulics have those?
PP's lifter photo of a standard lifter does
not show the top section. Question: What would happen if I adjusted them assuming
they were hydraulics and they weren't?
Oh, also the Ebay photo of hydraulics I found showed a
wide band turned to a smaller diameter with
a non-milled cast surface where the PP photo
of stock lftr has just a groove...mine hand the wide band! If so, hopefuly I have the Webcam that came with it!

I used to run a hydrolic vehicle and its kinda easy to tell. if the engine is still in the car look at your valves. when you go to adjust them youll have the adjustment screw almost all the way out before you can get a gap. it just almost wont seem right. and if you push on one itll be kinda springy or squishy. if the engine isnt in it. you can push on the head of the lifter and a little bit of oil will come out. otherwise just loking at it it looks all the same
