remote starter tech tip
 

well when checking my injectors i got curious on how to crank the motor by my self when in the engine bay ... well i found by putting a wire on the rear left connector of the t4 connector on the reg board i could tie it to the battery and just put a switch in line to crank the motor

next i will figure out how to use the exsisting wiring for the window defogger to work my trunk release ( just think no wires to run up front !! )

ps who will be in baltimore on the 15 of sept at the school for the blind get together

Most autoparts stores such as Pep Boys sell a 50 amp push button starter switch for $6 or so. I used one on my race car and usually start the engine from the rear now so I can look for oil or gas leaks right away, just mmake sure it is in neutral.

Since you are comfortable working on your car, why worry about running wires up front? I am totally inept with engines, but it only took me thirty minutes to wire my remote trunk release. Just pull back the pad around the hood release, drill a hole about an inch to the right, and then run the wire along the stock harness, using th eharness retainers. It has to be easy because I am an idiot and mine works great!
I even located the switch inside the glove box.

well i just dont like to run wires all over the car and the thought of using exsisting wires make it look stock and by using the stock switch or a look alike the car would remain stock in apperance

andthe starter idea is not for permently installed just for working on the car and it does not need 50 amps and why crawl car under the car to hook it up
