Thumbs up Por-20, Wow!!

Thinking of refinishing that oem muffler?
Don't waste your time on "BBQ" paint, I did.
I tried three major brands and all blistered within 15 minutes.

I have posted pictures in my profile since I was so excited about the results from using
Por-20 High Heat "Manifold Gray" paint.

This stuff is great, and you can brush it on!

Thanks All for the great info's.
Ruben

Looking good Ruben!

Are you gonna keep the valence off?

I actually need to redo my valence, because the paint burned off (lifted & peeled). Maybe I should just remove it!

I am planning to put the valance back on.
The ones I have are the fiberglass version,
they seem to dissipate heat very well and have had no problems with the paint on them.

Thanks, Good Luck

Ruben,
That is a beautyful car. I only hope mine looks half that good when I'm done. Thanks for the tip too, I put VHT high temp and only ran the car a few times before the muffler looked old and ratty again; and it's really BRAND NEW.

www.por15.com

FYI...I've heard from the autobody forum that zero-rust is a similar product as por-15, is cheaper, holds up better, and easier to apply. I just ordered my gallon.

Thumbs up

Good looking car Ruben,

That's one of the nicest "red" 914's seen. I'll keep your info about the POR-20 in mind. I repainted my headers several weeks back with a high-temp paint. As soon as the car is running I'll know if it was worth it or not.

Regards,
