914 Engine

Thanks Dave how can i tell if its a 2.0 or a 1.8 L without finding anything on the engine

not Dave (Dave's not here...) but you can ID your motor by either looking at the engine serial number (ECXXXXXX = 1.8; GAXXXX= 2.0) or looking for the number of studs that bolt the intake runner to the head (3 = 2.0, 4 = 1.8) or noticing the angle of the spark plugs and their positions as they exit the engine cooling tin (plugs toward top = 1.8, plugs more on side = 2.0). the 1.8 engine serial number it towards the back of the engine (toward the flywheel end of the engine) along the top near the case seam, the 2.0 serial number is in front of the oil filler on the fan end of the engine.
