O-Ring Sizes
'74 2.0L with L-jet.
The fuel pump has the three fuel line arrangement. It started leaking from the electrical connector. I would like to effect a repair by replacing the old leaky O-rings. Can someone tell me the O-ring sizes and material specification for the three O-rings in the pump? Thanks |

I would take the old O-Rings to a hardware store and compare them to new O-Rings for size.
As far as the material, I'm not sure. I think that a black rubber O-Ring is just that. If they were impervious to fuel, then then ones you are replacing wouldn't have failed in the first place. I would encourage you that materials used today are probably at least as good (if not better than those used in 1974 ) Just my thoughts. |
