Cold Start Valve issue.

Yep traced an issue back to my cold start valve.
The car would just die in random times, but would start right back up.
First where can I get a replacement?
No one has it, Pelican has it as NLA.
Checked other places with the same result.
If not can I rebuild it?

I know it is the Cold start because when I was checking other connections when I touched the valve the engine just died, but would start right back up wiggle it again and it would die again.
Any help I would much appreciate.
This is on a 73 1.7 914 of course.
Thanks Tim.

Plug it off. Good riddance unless you live in a very cold climate. I know, not the answer everyone likes, but I prefer it gone.

Plugging it off. Did you do this?
If so you give me some info on how you did it, and the results.
I can see how to connect the fuel line with an inline connector but I would still have a hole at the base of the air intake.
I am not in too much cold weather but will this create any start up issues?
Thanks Tim.

I did indeed. Put a blockoff plate on the plenum and a plug in the fuel line. Results were just as planned. No more workie, and no leakage!

No startup issues unless your ambient temp is well below 40F, because that thing is not supposed to do anything otherwise. Except leak and create extra baggage in your engine compartment. Haha. That's just my minimalist side coming out. But true.

cool.
This is good news.
As far as I can tell this little devil is only available as a used item from salvage yards and not a single new one to be had, as far as I could find.
