no spark

Help! My 74 2.0 Won't fire no spark at coil wire. Ponits are clean. Rotor looks good.
What am I overlooking? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Shane

Hmmm...

Most obvious thought is to check all grounds and connections. Make sure that you have juice going to the coil. Maybe see if someone you know with a running bug or bus would loan you their coil for a few minutes to see if that is the culprit.

Try just connecting the Blk/red (make sure it has +12V with the key on) and the green from the dizzy. Dissconnect anything else like the tach to rule out one of them is grounded.

Check for +12V on the thicker black wire going to the coil. Unplug the wire first so you're just checking that.

Check for an intermittent ground/disconnected on the green wire as the engine is rotated. Unplug it first before you check.

If you've got both of those, and you're still getting no spark, the coil or the coil wire you're using is bad.
