1.8L cylinder bored to 96mm, possible?

Hi, I read many suggesting boring out OEM 2.0L cylinders for 96mm pistons. Can I bore OEM 1.8L jugs out for 96x71mm setup with 1.8 heads? I wonder if the height with 1.8L jugs are different from 2.0L.

The 93s can absolutely be bored out to 96mm; they are the same OD as the 94s from the 2.0 cylinder.

The height should be fine as well. Just make sure you get 96mm pistons that are intended for a 1.7 or a 1.8, because the height of the pistons is different on the 2.0 .

DD, as mentioned I'm building 96 x 71 with 2.0L crank. Can 1.8L jugs bored out to 96mm work?

Yes, as long as you get the 96mm pistons that are intended for the 2.0 crank/rods.
