Wiring for a Carb Conversion

What wiring do I need to do when converting a D-Jet to carbs? I have an article on converting from the FI pump but how about the distributor, alt, battery, etc? I am getting close to getting back in the car and realize there is a lot I do not have connected (i.e. distributor advance?). Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

I recently converted my 1.8 L tronic to a single Weber. After I removed what was left of the burned up F/I, I probed the relay board in the engine compartment behind the drivers seat. I found a terminal that was live only when the key was in the crank/run position. I connected this to the new fuel pump. I connected the electric choke on my carb to the + wire from the distributor. I left the alt. alone. As for the battery, I bought a sealed gel cell battery and mounted it on its side in the rear under the top. The car runs fine once it's warmed up, this is due to the single carb though. Some day I will convert to duals, I need to focus on bodywork first.
Hope this helps.

I don't know. My car was the victim of an engine compartment fire before I bought it. This fire destroyed most of the fuel injection system. So, the car was a non-runner for 22 years before I found it. I installed the single Weber to get it running again. This is a long way of saying I have no prior knowledge of what the engine temp was before the single carb.

What should the engine temp be with dual carbs or F/I? I'd be glad to check the temp of my engine and compare if needed.

The only bad thing I have noticed with the single carb is you have to get the engine warmed up before it wants to run 100% right. It's a little weak until then.
