Fuel Injector Plug Woes...

I have a '74 with the L-Jet system. While taking it out on the road the other day, (first spring drive.. ) the engine went to 3 cylinders! Pulled back into the garage, and luckily, noticed it was just an injector plug that fell off. While inspecting the clip, I noticed that there is a groove for a spring wire that holds the clip into place, but no spring wire! Tried making one out of a paper clip, but no. Then I just grabbed the spring wire from the cold start injector... Wanted to drive it some more!!!

Anyway, I am wondering if anyone has seen these spring wires anywhere, short of buying a wire harness and hoping they are on there!

Thanks!

I will give you a fuel injector clip if you want it? My F/I was destroyed in an engine fire but the clips are good.

A Fire?
What in the world happened? Fuel line leak?
Man, that is challenging.
Sorry,

Garage
if there was a fire, they are not good

I have seen the boots, don't know about clips, maybe try busdepot or do a search over on the world or the club

The fire was caused by a backfire through the air flow sensor. From what I have read, this is most likely caused by pumping the gas when trying to start the car. This happened to my car long before I bought it. I bought it as a non runner and put a single Weber on it to get it going again. The fire didn't destroy everything. It only damaged the airflow sensor, temp sensors, and injector wire harness in places. Mostly just the parts on the very top of the engine around the intake/airflow sensor area. The injectors, boots and clips were untouched.

I would greatly appreciate it if you had extra clips!

What do you need from me? Address? Of course, I can pay for shipping! Or just throw then in an envelope and mail 'em!

Thanks!
