Fan control

My fan has recently quit turning on when I slide the control over to the right. I need help diagnosing the problem, I have checked the fuses but what other ponts of failure are there ?

The slide contacts in the switch may not be making contact. Dirt? Bent? Remove it from the dash to clean and inspect.

I noticed that my slide contacts were actually worn right through. Im guessing the abrasive produced by the overflowing ashtray is the cause.

Fixed it by using some copper circuit board tape from an electronics guy at work.

Probably wont last long but it works on the test bench. I'm going to put in new brass strips later.
