Cool Gas Mileage

Just curious what kind of gas mileage y'all are getting? I just finished a full 16 gallons and got about 18 mpg. This was mostly city driving. Not that it really matters, I would drive this car even if it only got 10 mpg, I'm just curious if this is normal mpg in the city for a '74 2.0L with D-Jet?

Thanks

Pritchard

'73 2.1L w/44IDF Weber carbs. I'd say 'bout 19-20mpg/City, 27-28mpg/Hwy; if I stay off the loud pedal.

Once rice shows up, though; all bets are off.

On a recent cruise up to Santa Barbara (280 miles round trip), even with some heavy traffic, I averaged around 20 mpg. Most of the drive was at 3400 rpm.
Not bad I figure, specially since I am running a Quadrajet carb that i paid $25 for at the local junkyard.
