Wink Don't attend the Hershey Swap Meet!

Whatever you do, do not attend the Porsche Swap Meet in Hershey next spring.

I attended this past one, and had to pay $200 for the following list of Porsche 914 parts:

Flag mirror, slight imperfection in glass but seal and body in great condition
Plastic engine rain tray with two funnels and tubes for 73+ great condition
Door exterior handle rubber seals (both seals for two doors)
Front trunk seal, used, but in one piece and not cracked
4 green (2.0 liter) injectors, used but clean
2 fuel pumps for 70 thru 74, used
Engine relay board
Alternator rubber cooling boot
Complete set of 2.0 liter engine tin, clean and painted satin black (like new)
Left tail light lense, USA, perfect condition
Set of white rubber tail light lense seals
Rubber bumper pad that goes behind the rubber bumper horns of 73/74 (not the dog bone, but the rectangular pad that attaches to the bumper and is hard to find)
Manifold pressure regulator (shucks, it is for a 1.7 and I have a 2.0)
Complete intake plenum, with cold start valve, aux air regulator, temp sensor, throttle body switch, air cleaner gasket, etc.
Two clear plastic fuse box covers, Porsche original (not generic VW aftermarket), in uncracked condition
Pair of sun visors, with the passenger visor mirror and mirror flap intact, good condition
Rubber steering wheel horn mount (rubber piece that spaces the horn on the steering wheel)
Two plastic spark plug wire holders that fit into the engine tin above the #3 and #4 spark plugs (that is what goes in that hole on top right side of your engine tin)
Two chrome windshield washer sprayers
Rubber car squeegee for drying your car (not Porsche part)

Oh, and 1 Philly cheese steak sub with a large soft drink

And I met some great fellow Porsche 914 nuts who told me where to get some body welding done in the Baltimore area, and swapped tips.

Other stuff I saw, but did not buy:

1 complete 1.7 liter engine with complete fuel injection and ignition system, and cooling tin, offered to anyone FREE
Complete wiring harness and computer for 2.0 liter for $5
Two Baby Tornado mirrors with mounting for a few bucks
3-19mm brake master cylinders selling for $10 for the lot (clean but needed rebuilding)
Pair of chrome exterior door handles, for $5
Set of 5 near perfect Mahle 4-bolt gas burner wheels for $200
Newly painted green -74 roller body, rust free, no interior, engine or tranny, but otherwise ready to rebuild, for $1500

DON'T ATTEND NEXT YEAR, CAUSE I WANT IT ALL TO MYSELF!
Thanks to PA Chapter, PCA!, (for feeding this junkie’s habits)
