Rough Idle after repairs

Recently our 1974 2.0 decided it did not want to run above 4000 rpm. I went through the fuel injection trouble shooting procedure and finally came to the "brain" being the culprit and sure enough it was bad. After replacing the brain, the idle seemed rough and would cycle +/- 600 rpm. I was checking vac hoses when I noticed the breather box that the pcv valve and oil filler are attached to was loose. Seems it is held down by a wire clip. The wire clip needed some alignment and I sealed a new cork gasket and it fit tightly when done. Guess what, the idle has smoothed out and now is about 900 rpm or so!
