Talk with one of the 914 owners on the west coast. They regualrly yank the AC out of their cars. I have it in one of our 914s, and it works great. The only mod I made to it was to have the lines replaced with modern barrier hose, and I replaced the compressor with a rotary compressor kit from IceAC. The system is running R134a, and last summer, in 100+ heat, I was able to drive from Ft. Worth to Plano without breaking a sweat.

How does the compressor mount? Is there a bracket or does it bolt directly to the fan housing? I have the pulley but need to know how to mount the compressor.
Thanks ![]() |
