Question 050 distributor timing

I ordered an 050 dist. for my 2.0 today. I would like to know real world experiences with setting timing throught the ranges? Or do you just run it up to 3500 RPM and set it at 27 degrees? Thanks Guys

I'm no expert but all the information I've read says that if you are running carbs you rev the motor to 3k and set the timing at 33 degrees. Check the Technical Articles on this site labeled Timing with Carbs.
