Steering Wheel Question
I have a question concerning 914 steering wheels. My understanding is all 914 wheels are 380mm. What I'm trying to find out is the their a difference in thickness of the wheels early vs later wheels ? I'm talking about the hard plastic wheels not leather covered wheels.

hard plastic wheel is about 2 3/4 in (no leather).

Is that for all years or are some thicker than others ?

The factory's leather wheels are the same thickness with hard plastic ones. Only the rubber wheel is thicker, and of course it's not leather. Hope it helps.

So you are saying that a hard plastic wheel from 69 would be the same thickness as one from 75 provided they even still offered a hard plastic one in 75. I'm looking for the skinniest 380mm wheel that was offered.
