'71 cigarette lighter voltage
'71 914 1.7L question ...

I haven't tried it yet, but is the cigarette lighter powerful enough to run a GPS device?

12V and yes it provides enough amps to run GPS. I run my G-tech all the time on course and my GPS without issue.
