installed the 3.0 today

With the help of friends TC,Brian and Gene the 3.0 went in with no issues. It was much easier with the use of my scissor lift. I feel for you guys that do this with jacks and jackstands:eek:. So I took another step closer to completing my project car :D. Enjoy the pics.SmileWavyhttp://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1244925714.jpg

Looks great and I like the team work, two with beers and one working.

The more friends drinking beer always makes the project better

My German ancestry doesn't allow ANY job to not consume at least one beer :D. We had lots of fun doing the install and I think I owe a favor or two:) I can't wait to get her running.

She is a stock internally 1978 3.0 so CIS cams and pistons. While this is not the maximum performance setup it will run just fine for me. I am running the same engine with PMO carbs in my 911SC and she runs strong. Yes it would be better with hotter cams and different pistons but my budget doesn't allow it at this time. The ignition distributor has been reworked/recurved by Jerry Woods to operate with carbs.
