Fuchs 15x7 question
Will 15x7 fuchs fit under a '72 914 without flares? I'll be picking up a project car in 2 weeks, converting to 914-6 and want to use some of my early 911 parts... fuchs wheels, koni struts, alloy calipers, and some other good stuff.
Thanks, Chris |
Hey Chris, I am pretty sure the only 7 that will fit are the "R" offset. They are pretty expensive and hard to source. I have 7's on the front of my flared six and they wouldnt fit on my buddys non flared car, that said I could be wrong and someone may have been able to squeeze them in there.

You may be able to pull the fenders out far enough to fit 205s on the 7s, but it'll be a near thing. You can more likely fit 195s on 7" wheels under stock (or pulled-out stock) fenders, but your tire busters will hate you for trying to stretch a 195 that wide.

Love the color Dave and would like to see some close-ups of the car.

I have put 15x7's and 16x7's on my car. 205 is as wide as I've attempted tire-wise.
The front fenders are stock and the rears are pulled & rolled somewhat. I run quite a bit of negative camber as well. |
Fit fine upfront, but as mentioned, you will need to massage the rears (at least crush the lips.. maybe pull them out a bit.. depends on camber/alignment/ride height).. Some stuff a 205 in there.. others a 225 (ok, with a lot of massaging maybe ;) )

I'm getting ready to try 225's (at least) on 15x8's. That will be interesting. Hopefully not too interesting.
