Any advice for getting into a locked trunk
 

My (new to me) 914 came with a locked trunk and no keys. Anybody have any advice on the best way to get in.

I was thinking I could pop out one of the plastic targa top cups but I'm not sure if I would be able to get something to the latch mechanism.

Drilling out the lock is not a problem as I will have to replace it anyway.

Sawz-all the back of the car off, replace the lock, weld it all back together.

You can go in through the targa top latch cups as you surmised. Lots of extensions, taped together so they don't fall apart in the middle of the trunk. One hole can be used for a flashlight, and the other for the extensions. Unbolt the receiver from the rear panel of the trunk.

You can also, if you're motivated, unbolt the hinges from the trunk lid itself, and push the front of the lid up enough to get your extensions and socket in there. Lift too much and you can bend the lid, so be careful!

Drilling out the lock is another option. If you're careful, you may be able to get the screw inside the lock mechanism to back out due to the drill bit motion. Start with a small bit and go up from there.

I openned it by cutting lock bolt .

After spredding rear lid from body with a flat bar , I used a metal saw blade holder , 2 flat plastic parts protecting rubber seal and finish .

This tool allows saw blade only entering in trunk .

Then you buy new parts .

Take the passenger door handle off, take it to a locksmith, and have a key made. If you're lucky, it'll even work the ignition.

Not a bad idea. I want to sell the door handles, ignition,etc... and keys would be nice.
