fuel injection issue
hi, i have a 2.0 1976,914 with original fuel injection.
2 cylinders flood ie 1 and 4 , so i swaped injector wires and it flooded on the oppersite injectors ,this tells me it must be electrical. what should i check for ? regards...paul well i have replaced the trigger points, the ones in it were not seized and looked in great shape. i replaced them with a used set that were working fine , and the flooding still persists. opersite injectors still remain open and flood (test light confirms no pulse ),just steady flow. . open for suggestions?........recently replaced computer second time around because first one would not start the car. have replaced distributor before computer and trigger points were new. before the constant flooding happened,i noticed it would flood if you started the car up ,once it was parked for a few minutes after driving for a while Last edited by pacnzl; 11-08-2009 at 01:38 PM.. Trigger points in the bottom of the distributor. One of the two contacts that fire the injectors could be fused (stuck together).
