Question 050 or 009 distributor?

What are the advantages/disadvantages of each?

I'm Running a 2.0L with dual 44s. It also has a web cam 86 w/solid lifers. I will use the car for street and PCA drivers Ed. Please advise before I order the wrong one.

The short version.....the 009 is not designed for the type IV, it is a cheap industrial engine dizzy, with a VERY limited advance curve.

The 050 is also NOT designed specifically but offers a reasonably priced alternative with GOOD advance. You can not use it with D-Jet FI, as it has no trigger points. It used primarily with carbs.

Check the archives.....tons of threads about the dizzies....

I support PP all the time, but $83 is a little high. I was able to pick up a 050 from my local auto parts guy for $50.00.

Lets see, a difference of $33. Hmmm. Well, is the best customer service ANYWHERE, the best Porsche BBS, and the best shipping times worth it to you? Support Pelican.

I looked at their prices for dizzys and all I saw was $400+. I should have called in. $34 would not have made a difference to me. You are correct. I'm a jerk+. "Sorry" is not good enough.
