Picked up a 1970 914-6 this weekend and all I can say is... " woooooow!" I also have a 73 2.0 where the gas pedal has a considerable amount of tension compared to the 914-6. What do I have to do to make the pedal pressure on the 73 2.0 easier to depress to the floor?
Thanks, Xerxez ![]()

There is an adjusting screw attached to the linkage, this enables it to be moved forward or backwards, you may try this.
But it sound like it is more the throttle linkage at the motor. Is it carbed or does it still retain the FI? I would visually look at the linkage at both of these areas, maybe one needs a squirt of WD-40. Regards, Kelly |

The 73 2.0L still has the stock-FI. I am just curious how much I have to do to get the gas pedal tension to be a little easier. I'll start looking around and and lubricate what I can. question #2: Will the pedal tension be easier if I get a different spring at the motor-end? It has also been sugested to me that I may have to replace the gas pedal-cable as well. Thanks for your help.
