Needing pictures of 2.0 engine with weber idf 44's and how linkage hooks up?
 

I could use some help with linkage hook up and where the throttle mounting plate goes on the case bolts. The weber instructions says to remove the nuts at the case half's and install plate and attach throttle cable to plate. I got this 914 with the engine as a basket case, and as such I've got no experience on how all the parts go back together. Also does anyone know of an easy way to keep the exhaust gaskets sitting on top of heat exchanger while trying to lift the pipe without it falling off? Also need to find the exhaust nuts (8 total) that have the flange washer attached with a 12mm head so I have room to fit socket over. Does anyone know where to buy. Checked locally at NAPA and Ace without success.

I put the exhaust gaskets up into the head recesses, and give them a little twist so they get wedged in the recess slightly. That usually but not always keeps them in place wile I get the exhaust in place.

Pelican sells the nuts. They are a specialty item you are not likely to find in your hardware store.

Not sure on the throttle setup; the carbs were not stock.

Got to YouTube and search "joes 914" I just shot a vid of my 2316 running on carbs. It has exactly the same set up as you are looking for. or what it's worth this is way better than CB setup.

If the motor has stock internals, the 44's will be too large.

You should consider switching to 40s or at least get smaller venturis for the 44s ...

Just curious on the dual weber linkage you have. It looks awesome in your youtube video. Is it from SCAT? Why do you consider it way better than the CB setup, which I assume is the Hex bar type (which is what I have). Does it stay adjusted better?

I also was wondering, on my 2270, if I should mount the velocity stacks that came with the 44 IDF Webers, inside the air cleaners, or should I leave them off?

The center pivot linkage was the only solution I could find that my co-driver could not bend.
His moto was " Gas is on the right, and it goes to the floor".
CB linkage only lasted about 2 Autocross runs and it was bent out of synch. This linkage is a beast of a strong design. Nothing to bend.

Yes you need run the stacks inside the air filters.
