GA vs GC Engine Case
 

Hello,

I have two 2.0L engines; one has a GA case and the other a GC case. I'm going to select one to rebuild.

Is there a difference between the quality of these engine cases? I have heard that the GC's are not as strong and can warp. Is there any truth to this? All things being equal, the GC case is two years newer.

I have heard the same, but do not know the specific deifferences. My guess is that later in the production run, someone was trying to save money and cheapened them.
