Are parts readily available?

Thanks for the post. My first car 15+ years ago was a Sonnet III in yellow. Made me real popular with the girls in high school back in Miami. Great to see one of these cars again and to see some coming back to life.

There is a beautiful Sonnet sitting in the body shop where my car is. They did the paint and body work (in bright red) and then the owner didn't come through with the money. They now own it. Everytime I am in there, they try to see it to me. It is complete, but I don't know if it runs. I haven't asked how much. If anyone is interested, I will ask. It's located out side of Ft. Worth, TX.

Ok I have to ask. What is it that is so attractive about the Sonnett?

They appear to be some kind of 280Z knock-off...not quite as refined.

Educate me briefly...

My first Sonnet was a 72,I swaped the carb and built a exhaust pipe and ran away from a New at the time 911 SC as we raced down the 101 back from Laguna Seca . He had me on the top end but I whupped him in the turns, The Sonnet will go thur the turns faster than any other road car. Just floor it and go when you get to the turn just point and go. Also with only 7000 built they are very rare. Plus I am Swedish, my cousin Ole Stromberg was the Swedish rally racer who kicked but in Saabs. Steve
