Part Identification

Can someone ID this part, 75-2.0, sits just above distributer, has ground hooked up but lead wire is taken off, and should i hook it up?

It is not stock. With the ECU mounted high up on the firewall, I am guessing your car has AC? If so, it might be a high idle solenoid that is supposed to raise the idle RPM when the AC compressor is on.

yes, has A/C, if this were a high idle solenoid, would wiring diagram include where to pick up signal, I assume from the throttle position sensor, but will that create problem with ECU?

It's not a stock part, so the wiring diagram would not have anything about it.

A high idle solenoid would most likely be held closed by a spring, then when one electrical pin gets +12V and the other gets ground, it would open up and let air through it. Make sure that's what it does. If so, then ground one pin permanently, and hook up the other pin to the same wire that plugs into the compressor telling its clutch to engage.

Then you hook up a hose from the valve to the manifold (T into another line if you need to), and from the other side of the valve to the air cleaner.

tested valve, it already has line, looks like running to distributer, when valve is energized, idle increases, I will wire as you noted, makes total sense, I was just over-thinking where/how to hook it up, thanks
