Straightening and chroming bumpers
Does anyone know of a really good place to send my bumpers to be straightened and chromed for a decent price? Would it be cheaper/better to find used chrome bumpers?
Thanks in advance, Paul |

I had my ('73 914 2.0L) front bumper straightened and rechromed at a place called Best Bumper Service (626) 815-0027 in Azusa Ca. for $150. They also polished my Fuch Wheels for $50 each.

I had my front bumper staigtened and rechromed at Detroit Bumper (313-579-2639) for $150. It was in terrible shape and it looks brand new now. I'm sure any decent bumper shop will do it for a reasonable price.

Wayne! Chime in here. Does Pelican have a source for this service? If so, what price? With or without core? I was not aware of anyone who could perform this service. BTW I repaired a couple attachment points that were stripped out by installing case savers which had the 8mm internal thread, thus saving the rubber dog-bone spacer. I capped the case savers with a case-half nuts just to be sure. Works fine.
