Question trunk shocks

Does anyone know where you can get a set of rear shock kits to hold up the trunk? Pelican's site says NLA. I just found a set on Ebay, but the auction is ending soon and I hated when someone outbid me in the last minute. I'll buy'em somewhere.

Ask on Rennlist... I got mine that way. I dont want to mention who because I dont know if he still sells them or wishes to be contacted..yada yada yada.

Anyway.. I love em.. I welded mine so I did not have to drill my rain channel.

It pays to ask! Ebay seller got $100 for kit that can be purchased
from the manufacturer for $70. Unfortunately, I too have paid to much on ebay sometimes--ignorance is expensive.

I just purchased some from the manufacturer and was given his name etc., I could not imagine he would mind.

Trunk Shocks

These kits are a great money maker for the guys selling them, go to Boat US and they sell the kits with ss brackets which are intended for hatch covers on boats. I swear that they look identical and are a fraction of the cost!! I was planning on installing this winter. The only thing I don't know are the offset measurements and length of the shock required? If anyone has some old plans they would like to fax me that would be great??

Have fun,
Tom

trunk shocks

After viewing the picture of shocks, I question whether the top can still be stored in the trunk.

Thumbs up trunk shocks

Just wanted to say THANKS to everyone. Ya'll have helped so much through this whole project. I contacted the guy selling them. I just bought another car to get parts from, so the shocks will have to wait 'till after Christmas. Once again y'all have helped so much.
Thanks,
Richard Rodriguez
