In-line fuel & vacuum gauges
OK here's an easy one.
I really don't want to chuck this FI on my 2.0 liter, so in an effort to resolve my hot idle problem I would like to install both an inline fuel and vacuum gauge so I can monitor under numerous conditions. Anyone have ideas or experience on where I can get them? I suspect the inline fuel gauge could T off the cold start valve section of the fuel lines. I'm not sure of the best place for the vaccuum gauge, but I would guess it would T off the line leading to the Manifold pressure sensor. Any ideas? Many thanks,

Hot idle problems are pretty common on 914 D-Jet. Before you go to the trouble of installing a fuel pressure and vacuum gauges, could you describe how your idle reacts as the car goes from a cold start to fully warm?
BTW, aren't you in Phoenix? If so, call me at work at 480-554-7356. Perhaps you can come by and I can help you diagnose your system problem. Brad Anders |
