1972 914 1.7 Fuel Pump

OK guys...of the several issues my car has, a vibrating/noisy fuel pump is the one that is making me the craziest.

My car has been converted to a dual weber carbureted system (whoever did it di a very nice job by the way), and I do not know if I should use a stock pump with higher pressure, or just get a generic one that will push enough pressure for carbs instead.

The pump has been relocated to the front trunk and is not in the engine compartment.

Any suggestions?

After doing some reading, I am leaning towards a Carter 4070 - they say that the Dual Weber setup requires high volume, but low pressure (4 psi) to keep the bowls filled properly. That ticking/rattling I have now is making me nuts.

The rattling pump is almost certainly the Facet one. Very noisy.

Do not use the stock pump with carbs, the pressure is way too high.

The Carter should work.

Thanks Dave...I appreciate it. I notice you guys sell one here...how does it stack up against the Carter?

Sorry, I haven't used them. Hopefully someone else can comment.
