General Tune Up Specs 1972 1.7 With Carbs

Finishing all the tuning on the 1.7, and since it has been switched over to Carbs, I wonder how much info is accurate.

Spark Plug Gap: .024 I think

Points Gap: ???

Dwell Angle: 45 degrees (by the way, setting dwell is a pain in the ass, and I am tempted to just go with using the old gap method for the points instead.

Timing: 35 Degrees BTDC at 3200 RPM

Can others kindly share their opinions and somebody fill me in on the proper points gap? Do you like these settings?> Hate them? Pros? Cons?

Points gap, IIRC, is 0.016". It's pretty much the same thickness as a business card. But that's usually a rough guide, and the dwell angle is the fine guide. I think I remember the dwell as 50 degrees. But I could be wrong.
