Help! Bad transmission noise!

My tranny makes this horrible screeching noise when turned. If you hand turn the wheels slow it is a click, click noise but when the engine is running and the clutch is out it screeches. There is a sweet spot that it doesn't make the noise in. I can get it in some gears and reverse but it doesn't feel right. It's like the gears are in the wrong position. I would like to fix it in the car if possible. Thanks

Pull the fill plug FIRST and then pull the drain plug. what ever spooge comes out will probably be REALLY bad.

Re fill with good oil about 3.5 quarts.

If the oil level is real low then the trans is probably shot.

It is not possible to get more than one gear seleced at a time without really breaking something.

Clicking noise is CV's

Clutch scretching is throw out bearing.

Looks like you certainly have your hands full.

It was dry and presumeably rebuilt. I think they put something in wrong.

Got it fixed! It was indeed rebuilt but they installed a bearing on the wrong side of the small gear in the rear cover. It was rubbing on the tranny housing. Works absolutely perfect now.
